For many years I have struggled with feeling that what I have to share with the world is important enough. Like most people, I wondered if my insight or view of the world plays a part in the bigger picture. And if it does, how do I share my voice with the world. How do I make as much impact as I can use the resources I have right now. The answer came to me in the form of a podcast, The Authentic Angle Podcast.
When I first published my podcast I had a completely different name, it was, Don’t Feed the Models. Now my intention was to never play the negative game here and being that there are some individuals who hold on to sensitivity in certain areas, I decided that that name just wasn’t going to work in the long run. So I went back to the drawing board and pulled something more intentional out. This is when my current podcast name was born, The Authentic Angle.
I love this name for my podcast because it exemplifies so many things I hold true in just two words.
Authentic- I have always strived to remain true to myself, share in my truths and encourage those around me to do the same.
Angle- With years of modeling experience I have learned quite a bit about working angles for the camera. Outside of that time of work in everyday life the way you angle your mindset can and will make a huge difference in the trajectory of your life.

With both of these words combine they are a powerhouse for transparent and honest conversations. A space that I can speak and share topics surrounding things that matter to me and to my community. I can not go without saying that having a space to speak freely holds a different weight than writing, something I have recently realized. Being a lesbian woman when you share your voice something powerful happens, things change, moments shift and impact can spread. This is why it is so important for us to have more than one avenue for sharing our story. No longer should we hide behind social media captions and photos or singular blog post with the hope that the story will spread like while fire. Your voice is the wildfire so let it spread.
That’s what I am planning to do, with your help.
If you haven’t had a chance to listen to The Authentic Angle Podcast, I would love for you to tune in. Share your favorite episode with a friend and message me to let me know your thoughts. Another important reason I even started a podcast was simply to connect closer to my community. I want to hear from you, so reach out.
I appreciate you,
