Learn How to Pose Like a Fashion Blogger with 5 easy Poses!
Right off the top tell me, how many fashion or style bloggers do you follow on your social media? 10, 30 maybe 300… Okay, maybe that is just me. Ever wonder what captures your eye when they post a photo or update you on their latest blog post? Yes, it is because of their individual and unique style plus Let’s not forget about them sharing the 411 on the sales! Booyah! But if we took all of that away…it would be how they capture the styles that we love so much. How do they make this happen? Well, it is all about how they pose in their photos. Today I am sharing 5 easy Poses that will have you looking like a Fashion Blogger in no time!
1. Walk it out.
Walking is a natural movement which makes it such a eye catching pose that fashion bloggers can do. Creating motion in your photos especially the natural movements that everyone does on a daily basis makes for a great photo and a BOLD statement.
2. Look Down.
Not all the way down. You have to be careful when looking down. You don’t want to look too far down that no one is able to see your face. So when you are looking down make sure you look about 1-2 feet in front of your feet. This will allow your face to be lifted slightly while still having your eyes focus on the ground. Keeping some of your face open and visible to the camera helps for your audience to still get a glimpse of the human wearing the style.
3. Adjust your clothing.
This is where we do a little acting, or some may say, fake it until you make it. I am down for whichever but let me explain this one. This is the slightest movement that you will make that will suggest that you are ‘adjusting’ your clothing or accessories. For example, you make have a watch or bracelet on your wrist by simply playing with your watch you can capture some great shots of you interacting with the product and this is an easy pose that many fashion bloggers do in their photos and you can too!
4. Profile your face.
Profiling means that the camera is either going to see your left or right side of your face, not the front. Profiling your face to the camera allows you to capture those great side photos. It also helps your audience focus on the clothing that you are wearing. **Bonus Tip** You can use Pose #2 in your profile shots.
5. Show off the clothing and shoes.
Your audience is interested in your style and fashion bring it to life with movement. Don’t ignore this fact instead make a point to make small movements with your clothing to express it. This helps your audience to see the clothing, it gives you a BOMB Picture and even better, brands love it when fashion bloggers show-off the uniqueness of their clothing. Sounds like a triple win too me!
